Alongside partners Sightsavers and Children in Crossfire, ECD Measure presented a panel at the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) Annual Conference titled “Measuring Quality and Equitable Early Childhood: Cross-Context Insights from the Brief Early Childhood Quality Inventory (BEQI).” The session featured studies on:

  • Cross-country validation of the BEQI in Sub-saharan Africa (ECD Measure- see below)

  • Large-scale ECCE quality monitoring in Tanzania (Children in Crossfire)

  • A randomized trial of BEQI feedback and WhatsApp nudges with teachers in Kenya (ECD Measure- see below)

  • Participatory research on disability-inclusive early learning classrooms (Sightsavers)

Together, this panel highlighted how practical, contextually aligned measurement tools can support quality improvement across early childhood systems.‍ ‍
